ABOUT ME

I grew up with a single mom who tried her best to get me to try new things as a kid, but was stubborn as heck and never did, at least until I grew up and got hooked on cooking shows.

Top Chef was my first food show addiction, and it led me to watching all sorts of shows on Food Network, The Cooking Channel, Travel Channel... Thanks, Hulu! It got me to start trying things out; simple at first like fried rice, steak, quesadillas.. and then I started discovering my love for grocery shopping, especially at international markets or specialty stores.

Other spurs to my creativity included my partner catching the same bug, and making friends with foodies & people in the restaurant business. Sharing love for food has really amped up my desire to learn and try new things, and I'm excited to share what I learn with anyone who wants to listen!

When I'm not cooking or watching TV, I work as a Salesforce consultant, read, and hang out with my dogs. I've lived in Indianapolis since 2009, but grew up and lived in several towns between Louisville, KY, and Evansville, IN, and went to college at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, IN. I travel often to Pensacola FL, San Francisco CA, Chicago IL, Louisville KY, and Cincinnati OH.
